2024 Theme: Evolution

Try more, learn more, experience more.

2023 was a really great year for me professionally — I was able to meet and work with even more amazing authors than I had before, and I have loved being able to collaborate with so many wonderful people. I was able to associate with more of my editing colleagues and learn new things from them that helped me to improve myself as an editor and refine my own processes. It has been a privilege to be a part of the writing and editing community, and I can’t believe I am lucky enough to participate in such a supportive and creative group of people. I am so grateful for the opportunities that came my way throughout the year, and the things that I gained from those opportunities.

But I am ready to do even more this coming year. I have decided that it is time for me to try things that I have not tried before, even things that I am hesitant to do (to be honest, things I am downright scared of). I want to be open to new experiences and opportunities, and I am gearing up to do that. I am stepping into some new roles in some of the spaces where I have previously just been a spectator, and while I am feeling a little intimidated and nervous, I am also really excited to see how those experiences can help me to grow and evolve, personally and professionally. I want to be stronger, wiser, and more connected to others than I ever have before. I can’t wait to see who else I engage with on this journey.
